The Kings Arms Inn near Yeovil is located in the delightful countryside of South Somerset in the heart of Montacute, a small picturesque village well known for its use in the filming of 'Sense and Sensibility'.
What many other people do not know is that the village has its own local quarry producing golden ham stone, of which much of the village is made; a rich and colourful history, evident in many of the local buildings in addition to masses of unspolied scenery.
The 18th Century Inn nestles at the bottom of a steep hill which some think helped the village find its modern day name. The Kings Arms offers 15 recently refurbished en-suite bedrooms most with exquisite views of South Somerset; a restuarant that serves everything from light bites to mouth watering 3 course meals and a bar with an open roaring log fire, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of friendly locals.
